This innovative fashion design course has been designed to train the designers who will shape the global industry. Employing design thinking and creative problem-solving strategies, you will explore form, design, material, and process — including social and environmental imperatives — to create beautiful, sustainable, and responsible new age fashion for a complex and evolving field. During the fashion design course, you are encouraged to explore the broadest contexts and applications of fashion design.
Our fashion design course will expose you to the theory and practice of state-of-the-art fashion design and development through an array of specifically introduced topics coupled with hands-on skills, appropriate methods/tool kits.
The program integrates the principles of fashion, textile, and technology to impart comprehensive fashion education. The exploration of form, silhouette, materials, and process including social, and environmental concerns to create innovatively sustainable, and responsible fashion solutions for multicultural market scenarios.
Thinking and Ideation, Visual representation and Communication (2-Dimensional, hand, and ICT enabled) Garment Development (3-Dimensional garment development) Business of Fashion and Contextual Appropriation (consumer insights); we emphasize working with a global outlook, providing students with the big picture capabilities of learning that help the students imbibe practical skills. Students are introduced to industry-integrated learning so that they are exposed to the business perspective of the program and adept to the system upon gaining ground in their respective fields. The learners are sensitized to explore and appreciate the Indian crux and develop Glo-cal (Global- local) design solutions.
