The Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) is a well-known university in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was founded in 1997 and is named after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a prominent independence warrior. Through distance education, the university provides a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate courses in a variety of fields. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has accredited NSOU, and it is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
