Kuvempu University was established in 1987 and is a state university that is recognised by UGC. The university is accredited with A Grade by NAAC. Kuvempu University, through various constituent colleges and affiliated colleges, offers UG, PG, and PhD courses to students across Commerce, Education, Science and Technology, and various other streams. Kuvempu University is ranked 86 under the University category by NIRF 2022. The Directorate of Distance Education of the university provides distance learning courses to students. Kuvempu University has collaborated with Sanskrita Bharati, Bengaluru, and with various other industries and oganisations
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions : For merit seats and reservation seats i.e., for specialized quotas like sports, NCC, NSS etc, the fees will be 12,900/- INR per annum. For merit cum payment seats the fees will be 34,900/- INR per annum. There is a state government scholarship provided to students i.e., SSP(post-matric)
According to the placement report 2022, the highest package offered to Applied Geology, MBA, MTA was INR 3 LPA, INR 3 LPA and INR 7.80 LPA during Kuvempu University placements 2022, respectively.
