Overview

XIM University formerly known as Xavier University was established in 2013. In the year 2021, Xavier University was renamed as XIM University after the Odisha (Amendment) Act 2021 got passed in the Odisha Legislative Assembly. It is rated A +++ in India’s B-School Survey and ranked 4^th among the top 50 B-Schools. The University is a private self-financing institution of higher learning for imparting professional and technical education. The university provides education in the discipline of Business Management, Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Sustainability Management, Communications, Computer Science & Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Humanities & Compassion Studies, and Human Settlements. The courses offered by XIM University are B.Sc, B.Com, BBM, BBA-LLB, BA-LLB, BA-LLB, B.Sc (Hons.), B.Tech CSE, MBA, EMBA, MURP, MBF, MA Mass Communication, Master in Public Policy and Governance, M.Tech in CSE. XIM University has been ranked 46th in the Management category of MHRD’s India Ranking 2023.

A total of six MBA courses, five master’s courses, and twelve undergraduate courses are offered by XIM University at PG and UG levels. The universities that offer courses at the MBA level are MBA-BM, MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, MBA-UMG, and EMBA-BM, and PG level courses are MURP, MA. -MC, MPPG, M.Tech.-DSA, and M.Sc-Economics. UG level courses are B.Com. (Hons.), B.B.M. (Hons.), B.Sc-Mass Com. . (Hons.), B.Sc. Economics. (Hons.), B. Sc. – SD. (Hons.), B. Sc. (Hons.) – EVS, B.A. (Hons.) PAG, B.Tech. (Hons.) CSE, B.A. – L.L.B. (Hons.), B.B. A. – L.L.B. (Hons.), B.A. (Hons.) Psychology and B.A. (Hons.) English. Also, The university offers Ph.D. programs in both full-time and part-time formats. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to apply for admission to XIM University courses.

Scholarship / Loan

Scholarship 1

XIM University, offers scholarships to provide financial assistance to meritorious, ST, SC, and Economically Backward/Minority students to meet their educational expense. This scheme is being implemented from the academic year 2021-22 for the undergraduate students.
Eligibility:
Category A – Merit Scholarship:
Students with 90% marks in aggregate (for core subjects, refer Annex III) in 12th Board Examination or equivalent will be provided scholarship worth 50% of the course/tuition fee only for 1st year. This offer will be continued only if the student secures a minimum CGPA of 8.5 (without any back paper) in each of the subsequent year of the study at the University.

Category B – Scholarship for the SC, ST, Economically Backward/Minority Students:
Three students, one each belonging to each of these categories, will be awarded scholarship worth 50% of the course/tuition fee only in the first year of the study in the university. This offer will be continued only if the student secures a minimum CGPA of 7.5 (without any back paper) in each of the subsequent years of the study at the University.

Scholarship 2

Merit scholarship for the topper of the batch:
This scholarship, worth 50% of the course/tuition fee, is given to the topper (highest CGPA) of each of the undergraduate programs of the university in the subsequent academic year.

Scholarship 3

Under this scholarship, Students with 85% marks in aggregate in +2 examination will be provided a 50% course/tuition fee waiver only at the time of admission. This offer will be continued if the student secures a minimum CGPA of 8.0 in each of the subsequent years.

Facilities

IT FACILITIES

The Computer Resources and Data Centre (CRDC) at New Campus and Old Campus provide all IT and Computing resources to the students, faculty and staff members of the University. The University provides desktops to all faculty and staff. All the computers are connected to the Campus LAN/ Wi-Fi, which is supported by Fibre Optic backbone.

LIBRARY FACILITIES

XIM University Library goes far beyond the realm of just a compilation of books. It is a treasure house of information and knowledge that employs trained professionals to preserve, systematize and administer, so that they can contribute successfully to the continuing education and self-improvement of students, research scholars and faculty members by providing meaningful assistance to identifying.

BLOOMBERG LAB

Bloomberg, the global financial information and technology company announced the opening of the Bloomberg Finance Lab at XIM University Bhubaneswar. With this the XIM University joined more than 800 universities worldwide with Bloomberg Terminals or Finance Labs.

COMMUNICATIONS STUDIO / LAB

XIM Communications Studio, which is housed at School of Communications which is situated at the New Campus of XIM University has professional audio and video studios, shooting floor, online TV production set-up, Green room, lobby, edit suits, lab and professional training in the high end software used in the industry

CLASSROOM COMPLEX

The Class Room Complex includes air-conditioned lecture halls, seminar rooms, syndicate rooms, multi-media hall, computer labs and an executive class rooms. The class rooms are equipped with educational audio/video equipment; tablet PCs, computers with large monitors, LCD projectors and network connections.

MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

The Old Campus houses a Management Development Centre (MDC) on campus with all modern facilities. It has 3 suites, and 34 twin-sharing, air-conditioned rooms with round the clock internet connection along with a mess managed and run by the Institution.

RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES

With academic activities round-the-clock, students are required to live on the campus. There are separate Residences for gents and ladies. All the rooms have 24-hour Internet connectivity through the latest Wi-Fi technology. With the installation of laser printer and photocopying machines, round-the-clock printing and copying facilities are available to the students.

SPORTS & FITNESS

XIM University prepares students for the corporate world by providing the best sports facilities. The fitness enthusiasts can experience body-mind balance by working out in the well-equipped gymnasium and jogging tracks. Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Football, Tennis, Table Tennis and Volleyball are the popular campus sports.

TRANSPORTATION

At XIM University, we have transport facility available in campus for the convenience of our students and staff members residing outside the campus.
The university is providing transport facility in order to ensure student safety, travel reliability, punctuality in the campus and facilitate the students situated in farthest places of the state, making it possible for them to gain education.
