Dr. CV Raman University is a private university located in Kota, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. It was established in 2006 and named after the renowned Indian physicist, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 for his work on the scattering of light (known as the Raman Effect).
