Chetana’s Institute of Management & Research, the leader in management education for the last three decades, believes in a holistic approach to management education. The dream of our Founder President, Late Shri. Madhukarrao D. Chaudhary, Chetana’s Institute of Management and Research, became a reality in 1996. The year 2021, embarked on the successful completion of 25 years of this dream. In these years, the institute has achieved many milestones and won several accolades, Late Shri. Madhukarrao Chaudhari served India’s political system for a long time. During his tenure, he was in charge of thirteen important departments as a Minister. Being in politics for five decades, he served the people and the nation in a way that was quite progressive for his time. His politics were consciously and constantly driven by social causes, and he invariably used political strength as a tool to serve the people of India. These accomplished traits were primarily formed through the observance of great people like – Dhanaji Nana Chaudhari (his father), Mahatma Gandhi, Sane Guruji, and Professor Bang Saheb. Many leaders, activists, teachers, and artists from various fields in Maharashtra perceived him as a hardworking and committed minister and were inspired by him. With this combination, unique work was created in the state and the country. Many educational institutions, social movements, and cultural events took shape from it. His presidency of the Legislative Assembly was indeed a gift to Maharashtra. He not only preserved the traditions created by his predecessors but also enriched them. In order to maintain the dignity of the parliamentary tradition, he took a very strong stand on many occasions, regardless of his life. He was also known for taking care of the young members who had just started their careers at the assembly. The legacy of a visionary leader like him is carried forward by the educational institutes founded by him.
Inspired by the heritage of the Late Shri Madhukarrao Chaudhari, Shri Shirish M. Chaudhari’s initiatives in social development are a true example of Sustainable Development Goals. Shri Shirish Madhukarrao Chaudhari, Secretary of Chetana Trust, has not only lived the dream of our Founder President but also imparted immense justice to it. Twenty-five years ago, the road ahead was challenging. However, he decided to tread the path with the right leadership skills and virtues. And today, under his management, the institute has reached great heights and provides a conducive environment for learning. Chetana’s Centre of Excellence (CoE), with the able leadership of the CEO, Dr Madhumita Patil, is established under the aegis of Chetana Trust with a strong commitment towards co-creating, nurturing, and curating ideas for developing an ecosystem to achieve excellence. It is a platform that augments and provides a perfect opportunity for academia, the industry, and society as a whole to converge on issues pertaining to business and the community at large through applied research. The CoE aims to be a premier knowledge partner by providing strategic inputs for businesses, collaborating with industry for knowledge creation, and contributing to social development initiatives. The center operates through various thematic verticals designed to deliver quality processes and outputs. The centre is aligned and committed to promoting and advocating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) through all its activities and initiatives. The long-term goal of the CoE is to evolve as a model of best practices in private B-Schools.
